From the Glenn Hwy, take the Eklutna Lake turnoff then follow the road back to the Eklutna Lake parking lot (State Parks). From the parking lot one can either ski, hike, bike, ATV, or snow machine to the back of Eklutna Lake. At the back of the lake follow the Eklutna Glacier Trail back into the canyon until you see the wide and expansive piece of ice to your right.
