This drainage is rumored to hold many routes. To approach by foot, take the Glenn Highway north from Anchorage and exit at the Glacier Park Resort (milepost 102). Follow the road down the hill and across the Matanuska River Bridge. Park at the fork in the road. Pack your stuff, and head down to the creek drainage. Access in late season would be helpful for a ski on the frozen river. Head up stream for an hour or so until the climbs come into view. Of course, a snow machine would improve the approach but access to the river would be different.
