Climb this flow of ice and follow the drainage for nearly a mile to a steep section of thin ice followed by a lower angle exit pillar.

From the highway crossing Hicks Creek, this route is clearly visible high on the west canyon rim. Head up Hicks Creek for 1 to 1.5 hours until a wide low angle flow of ice on the left.

  1. Not an incredibly difficult approach, but the ice itself is disappointing. A couple short steps which probably don’t exceed WI2-3. Conditions may have changed over the past couple decades.
