Twin Pillars

Rating: WI2 – Twin Pillar Left
WI2 to WI3 – Twin Pillar Right
Length: 20 meters

Twin Pillar Left is the easiest of the two climbs and begins with a short and steep vertical curtain which can also be made easier if one climbs from the far left.

Twin Pillar Right is the bit more vertical and maybe thin in spots, but usually easily protectable in the middle.

Drive south on the Seward Highway approximately 1 mile past the weigh station. Located just past Rampo (sorry, Rampo is not yet on this site), these climbs offer a bit of easy to moderate ice within close proximity to Anchorage. The climbs are located on the east side of the highway and parking may be difficult.
