White Knight

Rating: WI4/5
Length: 60 meters

Incredible route with a breath-taking view. Start on 15 meters of gentle WI3 to some slightly steeper ice with bulges then end on a 15 to 20 meter pillar.

Drive your vehicle to near Devils Mountain Lodge airstrip. From the south end of the airstrip hike, ski, snowmachine, or continue driving a short distance to the trailhead. After about about 1.3 miles (45 minutes) you will come to a Y in the trail with a Department of Interior sign. Head straight past the sign for about 200 yards. Then, hike uphill to the route. Taking this route will avoid the alder thicket and make for a nicer ascent to the alcove. Note: a small knoll is present on ascent right, just below the start of the route.
