This route (previously known as Life After the Graveyard) exists to the right of the more anemic STD and on certain years these routes may not even form. A short curtain of steep ice leads to more moderate terrain above.
From Scott Mignery (October 2021): “This is the last FA done in the winter of 1990-91 by Mignery and Roach. MSD stands for Matron She Devil, in honor of one of the ice climber’s soon to be ex-wife.”
