Spaced Out

Rating: WI2-3
Length: 40 meters

This left climb is a moderate single pitch route which climbs over several steps and is probably WI2-3 in difficulty. The route got its name after the first ascensionists had to climb this waterfall to access the top of Double Take to retrieve their tools that were accidentally left behind.

From Scott Mignery (October 2021): Spaced [Out was named] because Roach left his tools in the snow at the top during his rappel off Double Take.

FA: Chris Roach & Scott Mignery, 1990

Anchor: A large spruce tree exists at the top for a nice anchor.

Lat:
Long:

The two climbs in the Double Take area require a four mile approach. Not long after passing the shack on the right ridge, this climb will become easily visible from the river to the left of the obvious free hanging pillar of Double Take.
